Remedy by Nambyar. Brand new LP.
Nambyar, Jesse Nambiar’s solo indie pop project, returns on 10 October with a new album called ‘Remedy’ via V2 Records. This album marks a new phase in Jesse’s musical journey, which began when he was part of the pop band Valerius at the age of 21. With Valerius, he scored a No 1 hit in Indonesia and released two albums before deciding to go solo. This led to a collaboration with Sony Music and the release of several singles, including ‘Caroline’, ‘How Would It Feel’ and ‘Lost’. In his music, Jesse candidly explores themes such as depression, fears and insecurities, but always with an underlying message of hope. ‘Remedy’ is deeply rooted in Jesse’s rediscovered love of soul music, which he picked up from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Reflecting on themes of letting go, acceptance and self-reflection, the songs tell personal stories that resonate with his emotions and experiences, from the loss of a relationship to the hopeful prospects of a new beginning. Jesse’s music is known for its timeless approach, with classic songwriting techniques and minimal production. His goal is to create songs that leave a lasting impression and that people can connect with. While melancholy and introspection can be heard throughout the album, there is also a strong undercurrent of adventure and hope. Jesse strives to inspire his listeners to be open about their feelings and discover the beauty of sharing emotions. ith this new album, Jesse hopes listeners will embrace the beauty and complexity of life, with all its emotions, doubts and joys. He wants his music to inspire people to be more open about their feelings and to recognise that it is normal to talk about topics like depression and anxiety. Ultimately, he wants his music to provide a source of comfort and recognition, a soundtrack to the journey we all go through in life.
