A Kind Of Hush - Carpenters Used Vinyl LP Record

There’s something quietly magical about Karen Carpenter’s voice coming off real 70s wax, and this 1976 A&M pressing of "A Kind Of Hush" has exactly that charm. The record itself sits in Very Good Minus condition: a few light marks you’ll see under the light, but it plays through with that warm, forgiving analog glow collectors chase. The cover, on the other hand, is in Poor shape—worn edges, heavier ringwear, and the kind of scruff that tells you it has actually lived on someone’s shelf for decades.

If you’re building a Carpenters collection to play, not just frame, this copy hits a sweet spot: affordable, original, and still a pleasure on the turntable. Spin it on a quiet evening and you’ll get that mellow 70s living‑room feel, soft percussion and close harmonies wrapping around Karen’s vocal like it’s the first time again.
