A Private Heaven - Sheena Easton - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Released in 1984, 'A Private Heaven' stands as a defining moment in Sheena Easton's career, marking her bold transition from innocent pop ingénue to an artist unafraid of exploring mature themes and sounds. The album pulses with the unmistakable energy of mid-80s pop—think shimmering synths, crisply programmed beats, and anthemic choruses. Easton’s vocals are a highlight: powerful, dynamic, and brimming with confidence as she tackles a set of songs that range from the provocative ('Strut,' a Top 10 hit) to the introspective ('Swear'). What sets this album apart is its willingness to push boundaries, both lyrically and sonically, for a mainstream pop record of its era. Produced with a meticulous ear for radio-ready hooks, 'A Private Heaven' remains a snapshot of pop music’s evolution, capturing the ambition and glamour that defined the decade. For collectors, this album is more than a time capsule—it’s a testament to Sheena Easton's artistic growth and the enduring appeal of 80s pop at its most vibrant. Essential for fans of the era and those seeking a record that balances polish with real emotional stakes.
