For many it was the best Haarlem rock group of the eighties. Or at least the most legendary: Grin! The versatile vehicle for the music of songwriter Maarten Veldhuis. Passionate music with the monumental class of prog rock, the energy of punk and played with the creative flexibility of The Band. Songs in which the free spirits of Robert Wyatt, Andy Pratt and John Cale met. At the end of 1985 the album ‘A View from the Valley’ was released with the radio hit / cult hit ‘You Need a Gun to Blow my Mind’. The album ‘A View from the Valley’ will be re-released on 140 gram vinyl on December 6. The original recordings have been remastered and the result is stunning.
