Al Di Meola – Elegant Gypsy (Translucent Red Vinyl edition) - Brand New - Vinyl LP Record (Quick Ship)

“Elegant Gypsy” is the moment Al Di Meola stepped beyond prodigy status and into his own universe. Originally released in 1977, this album distills everything electric jazz fusion promised: blistering technique, daring rhythmic turns, and melodies that stick with you long after the needle lifts. Di Meola’s guitar lines dart between jazz, rock, and Latin traditions, locking in with a powerhouse rhythm section and the unmistakable presence of musicians like Paco de Lucía.

This translucent red vinyl edition adds a visual spark to music that already feels incandescent. Tracks shift from rapid-fire precision to lyrical, almost cinematic passages, showcasing Di Meola’s balance of discipline and imagination. The production is spacious enough to let every rapid run, hand drum accent, and bass flourish breathe—ideal for vinyl playback.

For collectors, this record is a cornerstone of 1970s fusion; for guitar fans, it’s practically a curriculum. Spin it loud and you’ll hear why “Elegant Gypsy” still gets referenced whenever conversations turn to peak electric jazz guitar. If you want a pressing that looks as bold as it sounds, this red vinyl edition earns a front-row spot in your shelf and on your turntable.
