Anything Goes - Ron Carter - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 14days)

With 'Anything Goes,' Ron Carter delivers a quietly dazzling showcase of his artistry, leading an all-star ensemble through inventive arrangements that capture the spirit of mid-70s jazz. Carter, already a legendary bassist by this era thanks to his work with Miles Davis, stretches out as both bandleader and creative force, blending standards and contemporary tunes with a signature touch—fluid, melodic bass lines that simultaneously anchor and elevate his band. The album’s blend of groove-oriented tracks and elegant ballads highlights the versatility of Carter’s vision, where jazz isn’t simply played—it’s reimagined. Listen for the subtle dialogue between the rhythm section and soloists, each track a conversation steeped in mutual respect and inventive interplay. 'Anything Goes' isn’t just a collection of songs, but a snapshot of jazz at a moment of bold transition, where tradition meets experimentation. This is an album for listeners who delight in the nuances—the way a bass note can change the mood, or a horn arrangement can turn familiar territory into something thrillingly new. For collectors and jazz devotees alike, Ron Carter’s 'Anything Goes' is a testament to enduring artistry and the endless possibilities of the genre.
