Beyond Time — Jagjit Singh & Chitra Singh (2LP Vinyl Record Set) - Brand New - Vinyl LP Record (Quick Ship)

“Beyond Time” brings together Jagjit Singh and Chitra Singh at a moment when modern recording met an age-old poetic tradition. Pressed across a 2LP vinyl set, these ghazals are given the space and warmth they deserve, letting every inflection of their voices and every shimmer of harmonium and tabla unfold at an unhurried pace.

Jagjit Singh’s mellow, unforced delivery reshaped the ghazal for contemporary listeners, and here you hear that signature clarity in full bloom. Chitra Singh’s vocals answer with an almost conversational intimacy, turning each couplet into a quiet exchange between two artists who understand both Urdu poetry and emotional nuance inside out.

On vinyl, the arrangements feel more tactile: soft acoustic guitars, restrained percussion, and silken strings sit in a wide, breathing soundstage. It’s an ideal record for late evenings, when you want lyrics that linger and melodies that refuse to rush.

For collectors, this 2LP is more than a nostalgia piece; it documents how Jagjit and Chitra helped bring the ghazal from formal mehfils into living rooms and personal spaces. If you value lyrical depth, understated production, and performances that still feel intimate decades later, this edition deserves a dedicated spot on your shelf.
