On her upcoming album blir det inte mer så är det nog ( if it doesn't get any better, then it's probably enough),' jazz singer and composer Lovisa Jennervall breathes new life into texts by Swedish and Finland-Swedish female poets, through music that moves freely between jazz, folk song, and improvisation. The texts revolve around nature—the nature we surround ourselves with and are a part of, and which we turn to when seeking balance in a chaotic existence. The arrangement of voice, piano, trombone, and cello creates a vulnerability, while each individual instrument is of great importance to the musical whole. It is a subdued but powerful tribute to some of our most timeless voices,and to the earth that both carries and reflects our inner world.
