Bartolomeo Campagnoli (1751–1827) was an Italian composer and violinist. He was highly regarded in his time not only as a performer but also as a composer of chamber music, especially string quartets that reflect the elegant Classical style of his era. This 3-CD set presents the String Quartets performed by Ensemble Symposium (Igor Cantarelli, violin I; Gian Andrea Guerra, violin II; Simone Laghi, viola; Gregorio Buti, cello). The Flute Quartets are performed by Ensemble Il Demetrio (Gabriele Formenti, flute; Maurizio Schiavo, violin; Mauro Righini, viola; Antonio Papetti, cello). The Flute & Violin Duos are performed by Stefano Parrino (flute) and Francesco Parrino (violin).
