Chairs Missing - Wire - LP - Brand New Vinyl (Arrives in 20days)

Released in 1978, CHAIRS MISSING is Wire’s fearless leap into uncharted territory. Where their debut eschewed ornamentation for punk minimalism, this sophomore effort bristles with a restless spirit: jagged guitar lines and pulsing bass meld with eerie synths, pushing the boundaries of what rock could be at the time. The album’s willingness to embrace dissonance, abstraction, and unexpected melodies signaled a seismic shift in post-punk—one that countless artists would later draw from. Tracks like "Outdoor Miner" and "Practice Makes Perfect" showcase Wire’s talent for marrying catchy hooks to artful experimentation, while the album’s lyrical ambiguity invites you to find new meaning with every listen. CHAIRS MISSING isn’t just a document of its era—it’s a vital, living piece of musical innovation. For vinyl collectors and fans of fearless music alike, this album stands as a testament to Wire’s enduring influence and the thrill of discovery. If you crave records that challenge and inspire, CHAIRS MISSING is essential listening, capturing a moment when rock dared to become something stranger, smarter, and more thrilling.
