Cloud Song - suzan Veneman Undercurrent Trio - Audio CD (Arrives in 50 days)

The new album Cloud Song is the celebration of a longtime friendship between Iman (Eyeman) Spaargaren (sax/clarinet), Guillermo ‘Rusty’ Celano (guitar) and Marcos ‘The Marx’ Baggiani (drums). They invited trumpeter Suzan Veneman to join the party which is a showcase of various music styles and stories. The title track refers to the ever changing skies above the flat land of the Netherlands. Massive clouds in constantly shifting compositions create a scenery that is both fascinating and mysterious.The tune is a gentle mixture of shifting harmonies over a subtle groove, a duet of trumpet and tenor saxophone and a touch of free improvised music. The album was recorded by Frans de Rond at MCO Studios in Hilversum, using one – very special - microphone to record the whole band, just like in the days of Louis Armstrong.
