Confirmation - Sheila Jordan - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 14days)

Sheila Jordan’s 'Confirmation' is a jewel in the modern jazz vocal canon, celebrating both the art of improvisation and the raw emotional honesty that defines her singular style. Recorded with a deep sense of interplay between voice and accompaniment, this album offers a rare intimacy—Jordan’s phrasing, always inventive, dances nimbly around the contours of classic standards and modern compositions alike. The title is a nod to the Charlie Parker tune, but also an apt descriptor for the way Jordan affirms her place among jazz’s most fearless interpreters. Her voice—weathered, deeply expressive, and utterly unpretentious—delivers each lyric as a personal confession, drawing listeners into the story behind every note. The arrangements are understated, often sparse, allowing her impeccable timing and subtle shifts in tone to shine through. For collectors and fans of vocal jazz, 'Confirmation' is more than just a showcase of technique; it’s a document of an artist who brings new meaning to every performance. This is an album to savor, to return to, and to discover fresh nuance with every listen—a must-have for those who appreciate the emotional depths jazz can reach.
