After establishing himself as one-fifth of multi-platinum pop phenomenon Pentatonix, the multi-faceted artist Kevin Olusola now embarks on a captivating new journey with his debut solo album, ‘Dawn of a Misfit’.

Olusola’s passion is showcased through an impressive combination of commanding vocals, heartfelt songwriting, beat-boxing, cello-playing, and producing. He’s struck a perfect balance of classical musicianship and hip-hop influences, infused with his Nigerian and Grenadian heritage.

Throughout the recording process, Olusola looked to many inspirations across genres. He references Shaboozey’s fusion of hip-hop and country, iconic cellist Jacqueline du Pré, pianist Van Cliburn, composer Rachmaninoff, Sting who gave Kevin a lot of vocal confidence, Nigerian music pioneers Fela Kuti & King Sunny Adé and Harry Belafonte for his activism.

“My purpose is to spread love far and wide with the unique frequency l've been given. I want to shatter boundaries, only to bring all of the pieces back together with a newfound harmony,” Olusola says. “I hope my music makes you feel comfortable in who you are and the love you want to portray to the world.”
