Deceptive Bends - 10cc - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Released in 1977, 'Deceptive Bends' captures 10cc at a critical juncture—just after the departure of founding members Kevin Godley and Lol Creme. Far from faltering, the band’s remaining duo, Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman, crafted a collection that deftly balances sly wit, lush arrangements, and a pop sensibility seldom matched in rock. The album’s flagship single, 'The Things We Do for Love,' glides with melodic ease, while deeper cuts such as 'Feel the Benefit' showcase the group’s ambition for grand, multi-part song structures. What sets 'Deceptive Bends' apart is its seamless marriage of accessible hooks and subtle complexity; each listen reveals fresh layers, from tongue-in-cheek lyricism to inventive studio flourishes. For vinyl collectors and music historians alike, this record stands as a testament to 10cc's resilience and their knack for bending the conventions of rock with playful sophistication. Owning this album means holding a piece of late-70s pop-rock evolution—a moment where craft triumphed over uncertainty, and the result is as rewarding today as on its release.
