The album is born to bring to light the personality of a great musician from Abruzzo, an Italian region, who has left a considerable mark on Italian musical culture. The work is the result of a passionate historical investigation carried out by Professor Francesco D’Urbano, a musician and scholar who has been dedicated to the rediscovery of this significant figure for years through numerous cultural initiatives. The research conducted in public and private archives and in various national libraries has led to a historical repositioning of the musician’s figure and the recovery of his entire printed production. The piano works by composer Giuseppe Dell’Orefice is performed here by maestro Mevio di Federico highlighting in his performance the peculiarities of both to the Neapolitan school of the nineteenth century and to the influences from the great European masters.
