Don't Be Fooled By The Name - David Bowie - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

“Don't Be Fooled By The Name” is a fascinating document for Bowie aficionados and newcomers alike. This collection peels back the layers of David Bowie’s early 1970s journey, capturing the restless experimentation and genre-blurring audacity that would soon make him a global icon. These tracks, recorded just before Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust persona took flight, showcase an artist unafraid to embrace theatricality while still rooted in the raw immediacy of rock. You’ll hear flashes of glam, soul, and avant-garde leanings—each song a snapshot of Bowie’s chameleonic spirit in transition.

For vinyl collectors, this album is more than a curiosity; it’s a gateway into the creative crucible where Bowie’s future masterpieces were forged. The production carries the warmth and grain of analog tape, inviting listeners to experience these songs as they would have sounded in London’s early ‘70s clubs. For those who appreciate the crossroads of innovation and nostalgia, “Don't Be Fooled By The Name” is both a time capsule and a testament to Bowie’s enduring influence. This is not just another compilation—it’s a vital piece of rock history, best experienced with the needle dropped and the volume up.
