He toured as a guitarist with Tom Waits and the Fabulous Thunderbirds and recorded songs with Bob Dylan, Ruth Brown, Jay McShann, Pinetop Perkins, Kim Wilson, Jimmy Witherspoon, Rosco Gordon and Maria Muldaur.
