Flowers Of Evil - Mountain - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Released in 1971, 'Flowers Of Evil' captures Mountain at a pivotal moment, straddling the electric tension between studio precision and the unrestrained thrill of live performance. Side A delivers a clutch of new studio tracks that showcase Leslie West’s volcanic guitar work and Felix Pappalardi’s commanding presence, while the flipside immerses listeners in the group’s legendary live power with recordings from the Fillmore East. The album’s title track is a hard-edged meditation on the darker corners of society, while their take on 'Mississippi Queen' in the live set remains thunderous and spontaneous. What sets this album apart is its duality—the contrast between the carefully crafted studio sound and the wild, improvisational spirit of Mountain’s concerts. 'Flowers Of Evil' stands as a testament to the era’s restless creativity and the band’s role in shaping the heavy rock landscape. For collectors and classic rock devotees, this album offers a visceral listening experience and a tangible piece of early ‘70s music history. It’s a must-have for anyone who values authenticity, bold musicianship, and the enduring power of rock in its most electrifying form.
