François Glorieux’s 'Plays The Beatles' is a revelation for anyone who thinks they know the Fab Four’s catalog inside out. With his background in Western Classical and jazz, Glorieux approaches these timeless songs not as mere covers, but as rich canvases for exploration. His arrangements intertwine classical precision with improvisational flair, offering fresh emotional and harmonic perspectives on Lennon and McCartney’s beloved melodies. Each track is reimagined for solo piano, allowing Glorieux’s expressive touch to shine through—at times playful, at others deeply introspective. What sets this collection apart is Glorieux’s ability to draw out new subtleties from familiar tunes, letting nostalgia and curiosity coexist in every phrase. This isn’t just a tribute; it’s a dialogue between musical eras, crafted by an artist who respects the source material yet isn’t afraid to leave his own mark.
