Getatchew Mekuria And His Saxophone - Getachew Mekuria Used Vinyl LP Record

This 1972 Philips pressing of “Getatchew Mekuria And His Saxophone” doesn’t just sit on a shelf; it howls, wails, and circles the room like smoke in a late‑night bar. Mekuria’s horn cuts through with that unmistakable Ethiopian phrasing—stark, soulful, and a little wild around the edges. The LP plays in Very Good condition, with the kind of minor surface chatter you’d expect from a well‑kept original, while the Very Good Minus cover still holds its vintage charm: light wear, honest aging, no nonsense. This is the kind of record collectors quietly brag about and DJs sneak into sets when they want every head to turn toward the speakers. If you’ve been slowly building a shelf of deep, important jazz and African records, this belongs right in the front row. Buy Getatchew Mekuria And His Saxophone vinyl LP in Very Good condition Today! Don’t be surprised if it becomes the record you pull out whenever someone asks, “So, what else do you listen to?”
