Gimme Some Neck - Ron Wood - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Released in 1979, 'Gimme Some Neck' finds Ron Wood—already a stalwart of The Rolling Stones and The Faces—stepping out with his own raucous, unfiltered vision. The album bursts with swagger, humor, and a distinctly British sense of playful irreverence, all anchored by Wood’s gritty guitar work and gravel-edged voice. Joined by an all-star cast (including old friends like Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Mick Fleetwood), Wood delivers a set that feels loose yet purposeful, mixing barroom stompers with sly, heartfelt moments. Tracks like 'Buried Alive' and 'We All Get Old' show his knack for memorable hooks, while his take on Dylan’s 'Seven Days' is both reverent and rollicking. 'Gimme Some Neck' isn’t just a solo project; it’s a gathering of rock’s most mischievous talents, caught on tape at their most spontaneous. For collectors, this album is a snapshot of the late-70s rock scene, brimming with camaraderie and creative spark. It’s an essential spin for anyone who values the rough edges and joyful racket at rock’s core.
