Glass Houses - Billy Joel - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Released in 1980, Billy Joel’s 'Glass Houses' marked a pivotal turn in his storied career, trading the soft piano balladry of earlier albums for a sharper, more guitar-driven sound. Joel, ever the keen observer of pop culture, channels his energy into potent, riff-heavy tracks like 'You May Be Right' and 'It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me'—both of which became instant classics. The album captures an artist at the peak of his songwriting prowess, unafraid to poke fun at musical trends while delivering hooks that stick for decades. 'Glass Houses' is not just an album—it's a cultural snapshot, reflecting the restless spirit and shifting musical landscape of the early ‘80s. The production crackles with urgency, and Joel’s lyrics are as wry as they are relatable, offering both biting commentary and heartfelt honesty. For vinyl collectors, this record is essential: it’s the sound of an American icon challenging himself and his audience, and it remains as vital and charged as ever. Spin it loud and let every track remind you why Billy Joel’s legacy endures.
