Goonj Uthi Shehnai - Vasant Desai Used Vinyl LP Record

This 1975 HMV pressing of Vasant Desai’s "Goonj Uthi Shehnai" feels like opening a window to an older India—brass bands, temple courtyards, and film music that took its time to breathe. The vinyl LP is in Very Good Minus condition, with light scuffs that stay mostly in the background while the shehnai sings loud and clear. The cover, also Very Good Minus, shows honest shelf wear but still carries that classic His Master’s Voice charm on the front. Spin it and you’ll hear warm, slightly aged tones that actually suit this soundtrack—like the record has grown into its own memories. It’s the kind of Hindi film score collectors hunt for when they’re tired of reissues and want the real ‘70s cut. If you’ve been building a shelf of vintage Indian soundtracks or just love woodwind-led melodies with heart, this one belongs in your stack.
