Hard To Hold - Soundtrack Recording - Rick Springfield - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Released in 1984, 'Hard To Hold - Soundtrack Recording' captures Rick Springfield at his creative zenith, bridging his pop-rock prowess with cinematic ambition. Far more than a typical soundtrack, this album stands as a vibrant snapshot of mid-‘80s musical culture—where anthemic choruses, shimmering synths, and guitar-driven hooks ruled the airwaves. While the film itself may have faded from collective memory, these tracks endure, blending Springfield’s knack for vulnerability and swagger across both radio-ready hits and deeper cuts. ‘Love Somebody’ and ‘Don’t Walk Away’ provide instant nostalgia for anyone who lived through the era—or wishes they had—while the rest of the record reveals a performer unafraid to stretch beyond his established persona. Collectors will appreciate the crisp production, period-perfect arrangements, and the unmistakable sense of longing running through the grooves. Spinning this vinyl is like opening a time capsule to an era when pop and rock flirted with cinematic storytelling, making it a must-have for Springfield devotees and lovers of thoughtfully crafted ‘80s soundtracks alike.
