Valter Nilsson is the artist who, within just a few months, climbed from club gigs to swiftly selling out 12,000 tickets for this summer’s show at Bananpiren. Now it’s confirmed that the Gothenburg phenomenon’s highly anticipated album “Högsbo Riviera”, in which he refines his soul-infused rock’n’roll filled with everyday stories and social conscience, will be released on March 27.

With growing audiences around the country, a successful performance at Musikhjälpen last winter, and a win at Nöjesguiden’s Gothenburg Prize, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the last word has hardly been said about Valter Nilsson. An assumption reinforced by the new album “Högsbo Riviera,” where he and his loyal collaborator Johan Weber hone their craft and expand the soundscape with prominent elements of brass and strings.
