Hydra - Toto - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Released in 1979, Toto’s 'Hydra' stands as a testament to the band’s fearless musical ambition at the dawn of a new decade. Moving beyond the radio-friendly hits of their debut, Toto dives into a world where progressive rock, jazz fusion, and cinematic storytelling intersect. The opening track, 'Hydra,' is both mythic and moody, setting the tone for an album that refuses to settle into predictable patterns. Standouts like '99' showcase Toto’s ability to craft sophisticated pop melodies with a futuristic edge, while 'St. George and the Dragon' and 'White Sister' highlight the group’s technical prowess and knack for dramatic arrangements. Every track is shaped by the band’s signature musicianship—Steve Lukather’s expressive guitar work, David Paich’s intricate keys, and Jeff Porcaro’s dynamic drumming. 'Hydra' is more than a collection of songs; it’s an exploration of sonic landscapes that rewards repeated listens. For collectors and connoisseurs, this album captures Toto at their most adventurous, making it an essential addition for anyone who values artistry and depth in rock music’s golden era.
