Jenna Nyman is a 27 year old jazz vocalist and composer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her music combines Scandinavian and American jazz traditions, with lyrics in both English and Swedish, resulting in an expression that is both intimate, powerful, and playful. With a wide vocal range, playful scat solos, and a distinct compositional voice, Jenna has made a strong impact on the Swedish vocal jazz scene. Her original music ranges from nostalgia to decadence and introspective overanalysis, all presented with a sense of “Gothenburg humor” and a touch of subtle attitude that both charms and challenges the listener. With combining both Scandinavian traditions as Swedish visa and American traditional jazz Jenna stands out, making her one of a kind! The upcoming debut album ”Idag känns allting skit igen” with 9 tracks will be released 3rd of October 2025 and is portraying daily reflections, decadence, “future nostalgia”, and playful expressions. With lyrical storytelling and playful improvisation the music blends into a sound that surprises and delights. Jenna has performed both national and international stages with live credits as Stockholm Jazz Festival, Sweden (2024), Viel Jazz in Zug, Switzerland (2025), Donau 115 in Berlin, Germany (2025) and she has composed and arranged an original piece for Bohuslän Big Band, Sweden (2022).
