Images - The Crusaders - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Released at a creative high point for The Crusaders, 'Images' captures the group’s seamless blend of soul, jazz, and R&B influences. This 1978 album finds the legendary ensemble—Joe Sample, Wilton Felder, Stix Hooper, and their peers—delivering richly textured instrumentals that pulse with life and urban sophistication. Each track unfolds with a relaxed confidence, marked by Sample’s luminous keyboard work and the tight, conversational interplay of rhythm and horns. 'Images' stands as more than just a collection of grooves; it’s a snapshot of late-'70s jazz evolving in real time, bridging the group’s Texas roots with a cosmopolitan, genre-blurring sensibility. The Crusaders’ ability to balance complexity and accessibility gives the album a timeless resonance, making it appealing both for focused listening and for setting a vibrant, sophisticated mood. Vinyl collectors and jazz devotees alike will appreciate the warmth and organic character that define this record, as well as its place in the ongoing evolution of modern jazz. For those seeking depth, groove, and a dose of musical history, 'Images' is a rewarding listen that continues to inspire decades after its release.
