In City Dreams - Robin Trower - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Robin Trower's 1977 album, 'In City Dreams', stands as a testament to his singular touch on the electric guitar. Stepping away from the shadow of his Procol Harum years and the Hendrix comparisons, Trower crafts a record that is both intimate and expansive, brimming with bluesy textures and immersive sonic landscapes. The album sees Trower collaborating with bassist and vocalist James Dewar, whose smoky, emotive voice adds a layer of vulnerability to tracks like 'Somebody Calling' and 'Sweet Wine of Love.' With Bill Lordan's deft drumming, the trio creates a rhythmic foundation that lets Trower's guitar lines soar and shimmer—never flashy, always deeply felt. 'In City Dreams' is not just a showcase of technical prowess; it is an exploration of mood and atmosphere. The songs have a dreamlike quality, with swirling riffs and haunting melodies that linger long after the last note fades. For vinyl collectors and fans of classic guitar-driven rock, this album offers a rewarding listen that bridges the gap between blues traditions and the psychedelic explorations of the late '70s. Add this to your collection for a journey through the soulful side of rock.
