In Search Of The Lost Chord - The Moody Blues - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 21days)

Released in 1968, 'In Search Of The Lost Chord' is a cornerstone of late-60s rock, showcasing The Moody Blues at their most adventurous and visionary. Unlike their earlier work, this album is a wholly self-contained creation—each member contributing to a lush tapestry of sound through a dizzying array of instruments, including the iconic Mellotron, sitar, and tabla. The band explores themes of discovery and transcendence, weaving together elements of Indian philosophy, poetry, and science fiction. Tracks like 'Ride My See-Saw' and 'Legend of a Mind' pulse with psychedelic fervor, while 'The Actor' and 'Voices in the Sky' reveal a more contemplative, melodic side. 'In Search Of The Lost Chord' isn't simply an album—it's an immersive experience, inviting listeners to lose and find themselves in swirling arrangements and thoughtful lyricism. Its daring spirit and rich production influenced generations of progressive and psychedelic musicians. For vinyl collectors and music historians alike, this record represents a pivotal shift in popular music's possibilities. Owning this album is owning a piece of the era’s most imaginative artistry.
