 This compilation of classic RICKY NELSON recordings is drawn from EPs issued variously in the US, the UK, France and Sweden between 1957-62.  It avoids his biggest, well-known hits, featuring just a few charting B-sides (e.g. ‘Summertime’, ‘Mighty Good’, ‘I’ve Got My Eyes On You’) alongside further flips and lesser-known LP tracks.  Nonetheless, many of these sound like they would have made strong A-sides - indeed, several had been cut as potential topsides, e.g. ‘You’ll Never Know What You’re Missing’, ‘I’ve Been Thinkin’, ‘One Minute To One’, ‘Blood From A Stone’, ‘I Need You’.  Legendary guitarist James Burton can be heard to great effect, throughout, notably on rockin’ sides like ‘There Goes My Baby’, ‘My Bucket’s Got A Hole In It’, ‘Milk Cow Blues’, ‘Poor Loser’.  Surprisingly, several of Ricky’s 1962 recordings are difficult to find elsewhere on CD
