Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai - Shankar-Jaikishan Used Vinyl LP Record

This original Odeon pressing of Shankar–Jaikishan’s 1960 classic feels like opening a window onto old black-and-white India. The recordCondition is Very Good Minus, with light surface marks and a gentle bed of crackle that actually flatters those lush strings and chorus sections. The coverCondition is Very Good Minus too – some edge wear, a lived-in spine, and artwork that still carries that vintage Odeon charm.

Spin it and you get sweeping orchestrations, earthy folk touches, and Hindi songs that sound like they were written for long train journeys and slow riverbanks. It’s the sort of LP you put on when you want the room to feel like an old cinema hall, curtain just lifting. If you collect early Bollywood scores or have a soft spot for Shankar–Jaikishan, this belongs on your shelf, not just on a playlist.
