Joni Mitchell – Ladies Of The Canyon (2022 Remaster) - Brand New - Vinyl LP Record (Quick Ship)

“Ladies Of The Canyon” catches Joni Mitchell at a pivotal moment, standing between the bare-boned intimacy of her early work and the expansive experimentation that would soon follow. Originally released in 1970, this album is steeped in the Laurel Canyon scene, but it never feels trapped by its era; instead, it maps out an inner landscape of doubt, idealism, and hard-won clarity.

The 2022 remaster brings fresh detail to the recording: her voice sits closer, the piano and dulcimer breathe, and the harmonies in songs like “The Circle Game” and “Big Yellow Taxi” feel newly alive. You can hear the grain of her guitar on “Morning Morgantown,” the quiet ache in “For Free,” and the subtle tension under the surface of “Woodstock,” here in its haunting, reflective form rather than the festival anthem most people know.

For vinyl collectors, this edition isn’t just a nostalgia piece; it’s a chance to experience a songwriter refining her craft in real time. If you care about lyrics that actually say something, melodies that linger long after the needle lifts, and a document of 70s folk that still feels disarmingly personal, this remaster earns its space on your shelf.
