Kanchenjungha - Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Used Audio Cassette

This 1997 Asha label cassette of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan’s *Kanchenjungha* feels like stepping into a quiet, lamp-lit mehfil. The tape itself plays in Very Good Minus condition, with that warm, slightly grainy cassette character that flatters his voice instead of polishing it flat. The inlay and cover are also Very Good Minus, showing light handling but nothing that distracts from the charm—more like a well-read book than a collector’s relic locked in plastic.

If you grew up sneaking ghazals on a shared tape deck or you’ve only heard him through remasters, this is a chance to hear that regal voice in the format many listeners first knew it on. Subtle hiss, rich midrange, and that unmistakable analog softness turn every alaap into a private moment.
