"Kehna Usey" - Latest Ghazals by Mehdi Hassan - Mehdi Hassan Used Vinyl LP Record

There’s something quietly stunning about this 1984 CBS pressing of Mehdi Hassan’s "Kehna Usey". The record condition is Very Good, so the tabla thump, harmonium sighs, and Hassan’s velvet phrasing all come through with that cozy, analog glow. The cover has been remade, giving it a fresh, presentable look without pretending it’s a museum piece.

Spin it and you’re back in a smoky living room, tape deck lights glowing, while someone’s uncle turns the volume just a little too high for the neighbors. These are later ghazals, but he’s still in total command—those controlled murkis and long, effortless notes feel like a quiet masterclass in restraint.

If your shelf already has his early classics, this sits nicely beside them as a more reflective, lived‑in chapter. If you’re just starting your Mehdi Hassan trail, this is a gentle way in: graceful, melodic, and endlessly replayable.
