Lalibela - Pyramids - LP - Brand New Vinyl (Arrives in 20days)

Pyramids’ 'LALIBELA' stands as a cornerstone of spiritual jazz, radiating an urgent search for transcendence and liberation. Released in 1973, this debut album channels the mystical energy of its namesake—Ethiopia’s ancient rock-hewn churches—into every note. The ensemble, led by the visionary Idris Ackamoor, weaves a tapestry of hypnotic rhythms, free-form improvisation, and deeply felt melodies. The result is a sound that feels both rooted in ancestral history and pointed toward the cosmic unknown.

'LALIBELA' is more than an album; it’s an invitation to journey beyond borders, drawing on African, Eastern, and avant-garde influences to shape a singular, immersive experience. The interplay between saxophone, percussion, and vocals is both meditative and ecstatic, evoking a sense of ritual and communion. For collectors and listeners alike, this record is not just a document of the early '70s jazz underground—it’s a work of art that continues to inspire new generations. If you value adventurous music with spiritual depth and cultural resonance, 'LALIBELA' belongs in your collection.
