Maurice Ravel, In.. - Linos Piano Trio - Audio CD (Arrives in 50 days)

The most important news on here is that Linos Piano Trio is playing on period instruments music by Maurice Ravel – who died in 1937, which means a grand piano from the thirties of the 20th century, gut strings and a different tunebase than today. The sound very different from that with modern instruments.

Period instruments are used in the baroque and classical world, but first time now for music in the early time of the 20th century. Two of the three recorded pieces are arrangements for trio by the Linos musicians, the famnous Pavane pour une infante défunte and Le tombeau de Couperin.
