Neo Geo - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Audio CD - Pre Owned CDs (Arrives in 14days)

With 'Neo Geo,' Ryuichi Sakamoto crafts a record that feels both of its era and startlingly forward-thinking. Released in 1987, this album stands as a testament to Sakamoto’s restless creativity and his fascination with blending boundaries—musical, cultural, and technological. The title itself, 'Neo Geo' (New World), hints at Sakamoto’s intent: a cross-pollination of electronic textures, Japanese traditional sounds, funk, and global rhythms. Collaborations with artists like Iggy Pop and Bootsy Collins infuse the album with surprising turns, while Sakamoto’s meticulous production ensures every layer is purposeful and immersive. ‘Neo Geo’ isn’t simply a collection of tracks; it’s a sonic dialogue between East and West, acoustic and synthetic, past and future. For collectors and adventurous listeners, this is a rare opportunity to own a crucial chapter in the evolution of electronic and world-influenced music. Each spin reveals new details—unexpected percussive bursts, lush synth washes, and melodies that linger. If your vinyl shelf is a map of musical curiosity, ‘Neo Geo’ is an essential stop—bridging genres and cultures with a visionary’s touch.
