Neu! 2 - Neu! - Audio CD - Pre Owned CDs (Arrives in 14days)

Neu! 2 is a fascinating testament to creative resilience. Released in 1973, this sophomore album by German duo Neu! took the limitations of a modest recording budget and spun them into pure avant-garde gold. The first half of the album channels the motorik pulse and shimmering guitar textures that defined the emerging krautrock movement, with tracks like 'Für Immer' exemplifying their hypnotic, propulsive rhythm. But it’s the second side that truly cements Neu! 2’s place in music history—forced by finances to fill space, the band ingeniously manipulated existing tracks, warping tape speeds and layering effects to create something altogether new. This bold embrace of experimentation not only challenged conventions but prefigured techniques that would shape punk, post-punk, and electronic music for decades. Neu! 2 is more than a relic; it’s a living, breathing document of artists refusing to play it safe. For collectors and adventurous listeners, it’s an essential portal into the wild heart of 1970s European rock—a record that invites you to rethink the very possibilities of sound.
