New Jazz Vol. 2 - Bobby Jaspar - SP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 14days)

New Jazz Vol. 2 finds Belgian saxophonist and flutist Bobby Jaspar at the height of his artistry, capturing the transatlantic jazz spirit of the late 1950s. Jaspar’s sophisticated phrasing and melodic inventiveness shine as he leads a tight ensemble through a set that is both swinging and contemplative. The album is a testament to Jaspar’s unique voice in the jazz idiom—rooted in bebop, but with a European sensibility that brings lyrical nuance to every track.

What sets this session apart is its subtle interplay: Jaspar’s fluid solos invite the rhythm section into a conversation, never showy but always expressive. The recording documents a moment when jazz was rapidly evolving, and Jaspar’s contributions helped bridge American and European jazz scenes. For collectors, New Jazz Vol. 2 is more than just a record; it’s an artifact of cross-cultural creativity and a showcase for Jaspar’s understated virtuosity. If you’re drawn to the cool, urbane sounds of 1950s jazz, this album will reward deep listening with every spin. It’s a must-have for those who appreciate the genre’s history and its quietly influential voices.
