On The Way To The Peak Of Normal - Holger Czukay - LP - Pre Owned Vinyl (Arrives in 14days)

Released in 1981, 'On The Way To The Peak Of Normal' finds Holger Czukay—co-founder of the legendary krautrock band Can—at his most adventurous and inventive. Czukay, always a restless innovator, crafts a labyrinthine soundscape that fuses tape manipulation, whimsical basslines, and unexpected global influences. This album is a testament to the spirit of experimentation that defined the post-punk and early electronic era, yet it's unmistakably singular in its vision.

Here, Czukay invites listeners into a world where playful grooves unravel into surreal sonic collages. He melds analog electronics with found sounds, field recordings, and fractured melodies, all with a sense of mischievous curiosity. The title track sprawls with hypnotic repetition, while moments like 'Ode to Perfume' reveal his uncanny ability to transform the mundane into the magical.

'On The Way To The Peak Of Normal' is much more than a period piece; it’s a portal into the creative mind of one of music’s true iconoclasts. For collectors and adventurous listeners alike, this record is a cornerstone of avant-garde electronic music—an album that rewards deep listening and never ceases to surprise.
