Origins - Jean-paul Gasparian - Audio CD (Arrives in 50 days)

It foreshadowed this new musical journey, going to the heart of Armenia, enhanced by the figure of Sayat-Nova, of central importance for the Armenian nation. From his instrument, the kamancheh, this bard and ashik of the 18th century distills all his poetic skill through songs that became one of the bases of Armenian culture. Three of these works directly evoke Sayat-Nova, in particular the Ballade and Poème by Gérard Gasparian, placed at the centre of this recital, following Arno Babadjanian's sublime Elegy, a vibrant homage to Aram Khachaturian (1903-19780), which recaptures another theme by Sayat-Nova.
