Panthalassa: The Remixes - Miles Davis - Audio CD - Pre Owned CDs (Arrives in 14days)

Panthalassa: The Remixes is a rare intersection where the past and future of jazz collide. Here, visionary producers like DJ Cam, King Britt, and Doc Scott reinterpret Miles Davis’s electric period, particularly his groundbreaking late '60s and early '70s fusion works. Rather than simply layering beats over existing tracks, each remixer dives into the raw, hypnotic energy of Davis’s tapes, pulling out new textures and dimensions. The result is a vibrant experiment: Davis’s iconic trumpet and the shifting, liquid grooves of his ensembles are filtered through the lens of late-20th-century electronic innovation. This album is essential for anyone fascinated by the ongoing evolution of jazz and its influence on electronic music. It’s not a collection for purists, but rather for those who relish transformation and dialogue between genres. Panthalassa: The Remixes doesn’t just honor Davis’s restless creativity—it extends it, inviting listeners to hear his music as if for the first time. For collectors, it’s a testament to the enduring power of reinvention and a must-have piece of the ever-expanding Miles Davis legacy.
