'Pathways' is a suite of Dave Douglas music commissioned by the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta, Canada for Douglas final year as director of the International Jazz Workshop. Featuring a sextet of collaborators Aoife ODonovan, Greg Tardy, Josh Roseman, Uri Caine, Linda Oh and Clarence Penn, the album was originally released as part of Douglas 50th Birthday Recordings box set before being released on its own.
