Pink Floyd – Pink Floyd At Pompeii – MCMLXXII (Steven Wilson Mix) - Brand New - Vinyl LP Record (Quick Ship)

Pink Floyd At Pompeii – MCMLXXII (Steven Wilson Mix) captures a moment when rock transcended the stage and entered the realm of myth. Recorded in the haunting, empty amphitheatre of Pompeii in 1972, this performance is not merely a concert, but a cinematic exploration of space, sound, and the creative spirit. Steven Wilson’s new mix brings out nuances that even longtime fans will find revelatory, allowing the band’s signature interplay—Gilmour’s searing guitar, Waters’ brooding bass, Mason’s intricate drumming, and Wright’s sweeping keys—to unfurl with unprecedented clarity. This release is essential not just for Pink Floyd devotees, but for anyone who wants to understand how live music can become an immersive, otherworldly experience. The raw energy and improvisational daring of tracks like “Echoes” and “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun” are preserved and enhanced, inviting listeners to step into the lost city’s ancient stones and let the music wash over them. For collectors and audiophiles, this is a rare chance to own a piece of rock history, remixed to reveal the full, hallucinatory depth of Pink Floyd’s vision.
