With the release of Pather Panchali (Song of the Little Road) in 1955, director Satyajit Ray announced the arrival of Indian art-house cinema to the world stage. Over the next four years, Ray completed two sequels—Aparajito (The Unvanquished) and Apur Sansar (The World of Apu)—creating one of the most acclaimed, deeply moving sagas in film history.

Following a tragic 1993 fire that severely damaged the original camera negatives, these monumental films were painstakingly restored in 4K by the Academy Film Archive and The Criterion Collection. This 3-disc Blu-ray box set offers the definitive presentation of Ray’s humanist masterpiece.
