RAHUL DEV BURMAN SAAGAR – COLOURED Vinyl - Brand New - Vinyl LP Record (Quick Ship)

Rahul Dev Burman’s music for *Saagar* (1985) captures a moment when Bollywood soundtracks were vast, melodic worlds of their own. This coloured vinyl edition brings that seascape of sound back to life, with all the warmth and drama that made the film unforgettable.

Here, Burman blends tender romance, coastal melancholy, and widescreen orchestration into songs that feel both intimate and cinematic. The melodies are instantly memorable, yet the arrangements are full of small, rewarding details—subtle strings, soft synths, and percussion that echoes like waves against a harbour wall. Even if you don’t speak the language, the emotional pull is unmistakable.

On vinyl, the music breathes differently: vocals sit deeper in the room, bass lines feel rounder, and the high-end shimmer of Burman’s arrangements gains a tactile presence. For collectors of classic Bollywood, this isn’t just another soundtrack—it’s a key chapter in R.D. Burman’s late-era work, showing his knack for modern textures without losing melodic grace.

If your shelves hold any love for 70s–80s Indian cinema, romantic scores, or simply beautifully crafted songs, this coloured pressing of *Saagar* earns a permanent place in rotation.
