Shakti With John McLaughlin - Shakti (2) Used Vinyl LP Record Japanese Pressing

This is where East meets West and refuses to sit quietly in the corner. Shakti With John McLaughlin (1976, Columbia) is a fierce, intimate session where blistering guitar lines race alongside tabla, violin, and percussion that feel almost telepathically locked in. It’s the sound of virtuosos stretching time and harmony without losing warmth or soul.

This copy’s a beauty: the vinyl is in Near Mint condition, so those lightning-fast runs and subtle acoustic textures come through clean and alive. The cover’s graded Very Good Plus, with light wear that feels more like honest history than damage—a proper ‘70s artifact without the junk-shop roughness.

If you’re building a serious fusion or Indian Classical-leaning shelf, this is one of those records that quietly says, “I know what I’m doing.” Put it on late at night, let the room go still, and you’ll understand why original pressings of this title don’t linger long.
