Sitar - Raga Malkauns & Raga Hem Lalit - Nikhil Banerjee Used Audio Cassette

When Nikhil Banerjee leans into Raga Malkauns, time loosens its grip. This 1994 His Master’s Voice audio cassette captures his sitar in a slow, glowing arc—notes hanging in the air like incense in a dark room. Flip the tape and Raga Hem Lalit shifts the mood: still introspective, but with a gentle sunrise edge.

Both the shell and the music are in pleasing shape for a three-decade-old cassette, with the recordCondition and coverCondition graded at Very Good Minus—light signs of handling, but the sound opens up beautifully once the tanpura hum settles in.

It’s the kind of tape you reach for on quiet nights, when playlists feel disposable and you want one of the greats to set the pace instead. If you collect Indian Classical on tape, this is the sort of title that quietly becomes a favorite reach. Buy Sitar - Raga Malkauns & Raga Hem Lalit cassette in Very Good Minus condition Today!
