Societa Corelli – Vivaldi: The Four Seasons - Brand New - Vinyl LP Record (Quick Ship)

Societa Corelli’s take on Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons is for listeners who want more than background baroque. This ensemble leans into the music’s drama, revealing just how radical Vivaldi’s writing was in its own time. From the first bars of “Spring,” the playing is taut and articulate, with a crisp bow attack and nimble phrasing that make familiar themes feel newly sharpened.

What sets this recording apart is its sense of narrative. Each concerto truly behaves like its own miniature tone poem: the sudden storms in “Summer” feel volatile rather than polite; the hunting calls in “Autumn” have a tangible swagger; “Winter” bites with a frosty, glassy edge in the upper strings. Tempos are alive but never rushed, and the continuo work adds a grounded, earthy pulse beneath the violin fireworks.

For vinyl collectors, this is a rewarding pressing to live with: it invites close listening to inner voices, counterpoint, and color rather than relying solely on a showy solo line. If you’re building a serious Western Classical shelf, this Four Seasons offers a vivid, historically aware reading that still feels direct, physical, and emotionally immediate.
